Description This was one of the tricker shots to capture on my trip today. I was on a very unstable hill, the ground below me kept falling away, while I had plants, and flowers going in my eyes, and up my nose.
The wind was a vital part of this shot, as I wanted to get a real sense of movement, while still retaining the proper focus on the beautiful orchid flowers.
Also, if that wasn't enough, I had to be very patient, and take quite a few shots to get the proper lighting in the valley. The sun kept dissapearing behind the clouds, which left me with a dull landscape, rather than what you see in this final outcome.

I hope you enjoy...

A beautiful shot and a beautiful landscape. One day I will visit Scotland myself. I very much like the intense but still realistic colours in this photo, as well as the contrast the Lupin brings; it directly captures your eye but then you can't do anything else than to lock back to the end of the valley. The depths is really nice.

Oh wow! This may be the best one of this landscape series! Maybe it's because I have a thing for flowers or something, but the purple lupin is a lovely touch . It is a lupin, right? I haven't seen one in ages. The depth of the picture is utterly breathtaking, too.
I saw someone mention (yes, I actually saw someone's comment this time ), and he said cropping the bottom a bit. It could probably do with a little cropping. I'd crop it right below the purple you can see in the middle. I don't think the edges of the blurred ferns would be noticeable, and I like the bit of color in the middle there - creates more depth. Not like the mountains and hills have anything to do with the depth, right? XD. I really like where the flower is centered though .

I wish I was there .

This is a beautiful shot, and I like how the focus and the light extends to also reveal the hill in the background, and I love that the clouds create shadows on the hill in the background.

There is a great balance in the colour especially between the very much green landscape and the blue sky.

Although, the unsharp leaves and branches in the bottom, might need to be cropped (just my opinion) and then leave the orchid on the left, the big one Otherwise, great, great shot!

Apart from two small places with highlihts on clouds and maybe I would use clone tool to remove branch on the left everything looks cool. Great framing and colours.
