Bio: Chip lead a pretty good life back on Melmac before it blew up from the nuclear war. He lived with his parents who took good care of him, and he also had the privilege of being a younger friend of Gordon Shumway (Which was Alf's name back on Melmac), who he'd watch TV with, and sometimes do pretend soldier missions with. He even crash landed in the Tanners' garage alongside Gordon, but the force of the impact had been so much that it sent Chip flying into the house of Amelia and Dan Carmichael and their four children, Emma, Anthony, Minnie, and Calvin. They brought him into their house and when he came back to consciousness, they introduced each other and it was a happy thing. But after Chip realized that Alf was seemingly no longer with him, he broke down crying because he knew he had no where to go. The Carmichaels were only happy to take Chip in and provide comfort for him. Dan was a baker, and Amelia was a sweet shop owner, so Chip definitely got his sweet fix of cake and candy while living with the Carmichaels! Eventually, Chip found out by watching out the window as Alf presented Lynn with the Ferrari he'd bought her, he realized that he was very much alive and sent a letter in the form of a paper airplane across the street to the Tanner house saying that he was still alive and Alf sent one back, saying he was still alive too, and they had a reunion while either family was out that day. But while catching up, they got a bit too engrossed in their conversation and hasn't even noticed that the Tanners had returned home. Alf and Chip quickly explained and not too long after, Chip introduced the Carmichaels to Alf and the Tanners over a dessert feed 🍭🍬🍫🎂🍪 prepared by the Carmichaels and they became friends immediately. Everyone agreed to still call Chip by his proper Melmacian name so as not to get him and Alf mixed up. And they still have dessert feeds 🍨 together without either family having to hide their alien. So it all works out. ^^
