Description
This drawing posed a different challenge than I'm used to. Unlike the majority of my daily drawings, I used references very sparingly in this one. The entirety of the composition is completely original, and I only used references to understand the general colors and anatomy of this snake. I really wanted to test how much my understanding of light, colors, and perspective has grown over the course of this daily challenge. As I move forward, I will start doing this more often. This will push me to start developing a true understanding of the subject I am trying to create, while allowing me to be more creative and original. Although I couldn't go into very much detail due to the time it took to compose everything, I am pretty happy with how this turned out.
