Scientific name: Allium roseum ssp. roseum
Maltese name: Tewm Hamrani
Occurrence locally: Frequent
habitat: Garigue, Maqius, Rocky ground
other info: flowering stalk is 40cm long. generally flowers are pinkish white. another subspecies, Allium roseum ssp, bubliferum, which produces bulbs on the flowering stem. this subspecies is rare. leaves generally are 35cm long. and 1.5 cm long.
