MAN ok so the backstory behind this cat is that I am was a major weeb back in high school and read up on a lot of Japanese folklore. One thing that fascinated me the most was bakeneko, or "monster/changing cat" (literal vs. figurative translation). IDK I just really like spirits/gods/youkai. They're all super interesting.Anyway, this cat was based off of a few paintings I found off Google. (Go figure. : p) That's the reasoning behind the dull colors but intricate wing pattern.
Today's theme was based off of "Bakeneko" claimed by LuckyTigress . I hope you like them!!!

Oh my god, I can't tell you how much I love this precious baby! I was crossing my fingers, hoping for a split tail. I just absolutely love this design. It's so perfect for me, as if it was custom made! I love how simple-but-not-really-simple it is. I love the boot paw and the toesies paw. I love the blue. I love the greys. I just LOVE the entire design!! As soon as I saw the themes, I knew I needed Bakeneko and you blew my mind with the design! I'm gushing and I know it but I can't stop! Every time I look at the picture, I love it even more!!

aaaah I've been looking forward to this theme since the calendar was revealed and it came out great!! I love the split tail, and the palette and the markings are lovely *v* such pretty deep blue eyes
