..oh hi,dear Anne! I You are talking about the red-leaved tree?I never heard about Hakuro Nishikibut if You mean the tree;this one is a "cercis siliquastrum"(at least,I think so,,alos called lovetree,or judastree, but I like better "lovetree" ...it is quite a huge tree, but I "modeled"it,cut it much deeper, giving a aspect of huge bonzaiit has its pink flowers coming out early in spring, and than the red leaves are growing after, and lasting until late in automn. Some years it also gives some kind of dark cherries, but I am not sure,if they are eatable,I think yes,but I honestly,I don't know. This tree I can actually also view from my kitchenwindow...Ah yes,my little fairy is lovely on this pic,it's a photo I took 3 years ago.One DA friend from USA oilpainted her,and sent it as a gift to me,about 3 years, alos,it's very precious to me...you can see it on my frontpage in my "gift section"thank you ,so much for your lovely comment,it's seems ,indeed ,we seem to have lots in common, and, yes, indeed, you woul be more than welcome here, anytime,my dearest!

That tree is beautiful A lovetree! I'll have to buy one and plant it It looks so much like the dwarf willow that I have...the Hakuro Nishiki. The leaves turn pink, white and light green in the spring. It looks like it's blooming even though there are no flowers on it. And it gets really lush by the beginning of summer.
Your tree sounds so pretty. I like how you pruned it like a bonsai. What a great idea And I'm with you...I don't think I'd try the cherries because they might make you sick?
I want to do an herb garden this coming year. I've had the idea in mind for a long time. I'll have to get you to help me design it
Much love and hugs and kisses to you my beautiful Flori!!!!!!

...Oh,if You get one of those trees, just plant it in a goo distance from the house, because it can become quite huge, after many years(20 or more, until 20 m high!)that's why I am cutting it like a huge bonzai...
Oh, a herb graden...that is lovely...I love that ,too..but a lot of work,to keep it "clean"...
many hugs and my best thoughts to You,as well,my deaest Anne!
