just trying some 3d, gonna have to keep trying..just a simple render with one blinn material, hopefully replace this file if i manage a more finished look and render, extrusion from eps curves maya yawn..if you looked thanks!

i have a mac.. and i have maya, and cheetah 3d..
but havent spent too much time on the 3d..

i used maya 4.5 i think some old ass version..and then into ps for a min, im still waiting on my new mac..hope i like it..never heard of cheetah have to peep..if you have any maya ??s i can do my best to help out

thanks Bamjamble, all inspiration from you!! the outline took about an hour n half i just traced the contours to make a work path in ps exported them to maya extruded set up a camera and rendered it brought it into ps again for the bg and color fix so i would say 1.5 for the outline and about 35mins for hte rest, hopefully i can revise it today to make it better, still havent got my head around making it purely in 3d though!

thats ill.. thanks for the words.. i do mine all purely in 3d, by extruding objects, i start with a square then grow it from there.. but i usually start with a 3d sketch... and sort of glance over at it now and then

thats serious biz, i attempted it and just got lost in a world of boxes and wrong angles, im goin to try and just work with moving twisting the object once i have it in 3d, maybe see if i can get somemore depth and flow like your puttin down, crazyness bro!

thanks man... this is crazy shit too.. and the handstyle i faved... damn that was hot! i love the smokey idea, and you made the handy look perfectly like glowin metal... but yea digi is hella lot harder than people think... its because you have more options to work with... and people expect so much more from it. it takes some while to learn... sempai tem was tryin to tell me that its not really graff anymore... i just told him it is, but with a different canvas and utensil, that like all things need some gettin used to

truff nuff huh, i feel that, it is just a different meduim with the same goal in mind, i personally work like 60-70 hour weeks and married now cant go hittin the yard as much as I did so this works fine for me, keeps skills sharp for my trade and lets me vent some. its not like i traded in painting for digital but we all cant be 30+ running around everynight racking paint etc.Sempi has some vailidity to what hes saying imo, there is nothing like spotting a clean t2b on your way home after a long day at work, but, in the same hand i think it's (digi) overlooked quite a bit and seen as easy,a cop out etc...and sometimes it can be but most times it can take longer than a production type peice, and is prone to "over doing it" too. thats something im having issues with. regardless, what you do is a completley different thing that some lens flares and a plastic wrap etc. keep on bringing out the bangers its all respect from me!

thanks Treat, i used the trusty old black book for the outline scanned into photoshop export vector curves of the peice into maya3d extrude the faces and set up a camera to render it out, then take that render back to ps for color corrections and background..thanks for hte words and drop by!
