Victoria remains concerned about her stay at Annie's. Rico had paid for her protection from the life many young women often live in the west. However, she was becoming a woman herself, and this did not go unnoticed. From hearing the whispers of the saloon girls about how she will outperform them all, to customers wondering when she would be on the staff. She was almost 16 years old, about the age some of her cohorts entered the "entertainment" business. How long before Rico's money gets outbid by a customer who wants an untouched conquest?
