I love the detail captured in the tortoise's face. It stands out even though the rest of him is in focus too. I like the plant life in the foreground of the image, too. It adds to it compositionally, and while it is fairly large it doesn't distract from the focus of the tortoise.

I don't know much about photography so I can't really give advice on how to improve this. I know that I really like it, and I feel like having it in black and white emphasizes the mood of the piece. So peaceful.
