So last night was the premiere of the Descendants 2 movie and apparently Lyneth has a brother.

Okay for real though, the movie was AWESOME and I adore all 3 of the new villain kids! Uma deserves a redemption arch in the 3rd movie (If there is one), Harry is just, psychotic and awesome and Gil is the sweetest little cinnamon roll ever and if any of the trio deserves to go to Auradon it's him. (And Dizzy. But she IS going so that statement is moot)

Anyway, so with this revelation of Gaston having a canon kid, I had to do some minor tweaking to Lyneth's story. Thnakfully though, it all works out.

So in order to make this story work, I made Lyneth and Gil twins. (I haven't decided which of them is the older one yet) like in Lyneth's original story, their mother Cassandra died giving birth to the two of them and they were raised alone by their father Gaston.

Now those who have seen the movie know that Gil can be a bit....well, dumb. :I Because of this, he is frequently ridiculed a lot by Gaston. Gil and Lyneth are very close though. When Harry and Uma treat her brother meanly, Lyneth will stand up to them and the twins always turn to each other from comfort when they are upset. Gil also knows about Lyneth's secret love of reading and though he does not share her love for reading, he does like it when she reads to him and has even stolen and smuggled books for her.

When it was time for the second set of villain kids to come to Auradon, Lyneth was chosen to go but Gil was not. At first Lyneth was not willing to go if it meant leaving her brother behind but Gil would have none of it and forced her to go, knowing that a better life awaited her there. During the events of the movie, the two are briefly reunited when Ben, Jay, Carlos, and Evie go to the Isle to bring Mal back (and then eventually rescue Ben). Sadly though, the two are once again separated at the end when its time to return home.

I'll get them together again somehow. Just gotta think some more about it.

And I'll make another picture later explaining Lyneth's relationships with Harry and Uma.
