I have a theory that she secretly has been having a lot of babies from casual encounters with various men, (primarily seeking comfort) but every time, her system overcomes any birth control, even dissolving condoms, (without harming the man), then her metabolism makes her go through the pregnancy in just a few days (during which time she literally eats a whole cow), and upon giving birth, Gateway shows up spinning his magical Bullroarer, and she surrenders each child to his care, no questions asked, so to avoid the “Hewlett Curse”, which his grandson, Bishop, explained after seeking help with her first, is almost inevitable unless they are raised by someone like Gateway or Doctor Strange who can train them against it. Logan has had THOUSANDS of children by countless women, (his sperm will also not easily be deterred) but most of them have been destroyed, (thankfully, for his broken enough heart, unknown to him), by the curse before their own mutant power could fully manifest, some before they were even born. Her accelerated growth as a clone confused the curse, preventing it from destroying her before her powers were strong. Her power and accelerated pregnancies protect them and get them out in a way that also seems to be an adaptation against the curse, to maximize their survival chances. Gateway became aware of this from a previous attempt to save one of Logan’s many children, and seeks to help her out of compassion.
He’s running out of tutors who can protect and train her children, however.
She’s been learning to meditate to try to control her urges, but she’s been designed to succumb to the primal, and has had a harder time of it than Logan. Sterilized men are a huge turnoff, no matter how nice and handsome they are. They just SMELL wrong to her when the mood becomes overwhelming, disgusting even. Same with fertile men with very bad
genes. Men who smell nice, however, well, as long as they aren’t some asshole, like an abusive punk, (who she’d sooner stick than be stuck by) than she’s not picky. She would have been in the beginning, even seeking responsibility from the father, but Gateway, who only speaks his native tongue, appeared to her with his grandson, (they alone know her secret), who explained to her that a horrible curse had followed Logan his entire life, destroying all that he loves, or trying to, (Phoenix’s are a bit of a challenge for it), and that her children would be taken from her too; including any man she dares to love.
Her first child seemed to have such a finely attuned instinct for survival, that she reached out a psychic distress signal. Several intercepted it, including Doctor Strange, but only Gateway made sense of it, having the subtlety of mind to perceive the wordless cry of a baby’s mind. He was able to track her and then called his grandson to help explain this to Laura. No matter what, if she tries to have a remotely normal life, the curse will destroy such happiness. It is a VERY powerful curse and born of a loathing for all things Hewlett that burns with malice like the surface of the sun. A thousand generations of suffering would not be enough to satisfy its vengeance. Her powers and the child’s had actually ADAPTED to counter it the best way they could, and that involved this reaching out. They inform her that the child will be kept a secret and raised by such as he, Strange, and others, but she must never seek them out. The curse intensifies when two Hewletts come together. Over time, however, even gentle Gateway is becoming exasperated by her failure to control her breeding instincts. He can’t allow two of them to be near one another, and he’s running out of mystical schools and hermits willing to adopt them.

Can she even wear high heals with the claws in her feet?

As long as they are retracted, but I think her feet have to be flat and her toes straight to get it out, just as she and Logan can’t bend their wrists while tracting and retracting their hand claws.
