Description "Great, just GREAT...." I muttered under my breath as I walked into the classroom.
A new class assignment and its group work. As everyone one in the class knows, never go with people who don't do anything, but who do I always get stuck with, the lazy people, or person! Whoever said that there was no I in team, should have look at two of the letters in the word. M and E, which when rearranged spell me, and me also means I as in I have to do ALL the work. It's really not fair but for some reason I always put up with it.
The assignment wasn't really all that hard, just write some info and make a poster; simple, unless you're Jackie Monroe. She had the smarts because I've seen her do work before, I mean just last week she got an A on her one assignment, the one we had about chemistry. But in this class, she chooses to slack off and let others (mainly me) do all the work. For some strange reason though, I let her do it. Which was completely stupid on my part but this time would be different because I was going to tell her to get her butt in gear and do something.
That didn't go over so well though. She went to the teacher and complained that I was trying to force HER to do the work instead of the other way around. The stupid thing is that Mrs. Matthews believed her. I thought I was about to die! To top it off, and this is what really set me off, Jackie looked at me with smug satisfaction, almost as if she were trying to say, "You don't want to mess with me again."
That was the end for my group work days, well until the suspension comes off anyways. The funny thing is I was not sorry for what I did. She just gave me that look and I snapped and started swearing my head off at her. She seemed upset though. I guess it was because, for once, she actually had to do her social assignment without help or more so, a little slave to do her work for her. That won't last long though because she'll find out soon enough that no one else will put up with that crap. Or at least I hope no one will. But what do I know; I'm not one to work in teams.
