this is pretty much in dedication to my iguana that just passed away...it depicts one of the stange creatures from my storys... they are the ones that carry souls to the afterlife (sort of like how people call shinigami and such) i created them a long time ago. after some strange events in my life involving death... they are not based on the legands or mythology of other sorts of death gods... i never even knew what a shinigami or such was till many years after i had created them... i can only really draw them right (even though their disign is simple), after some form of death close to me happens... (which is never good...) usualy in the time of mourning/grief... thats why i call them mourners...
i based them not off of anthing but an odd feeling i got every time i have been around death or cemitarys. the smell of smoke i get ans the strange sound thati hear in cemitarys was incorpeated into them. i dont know why...
if there is anything wrong or amis in the picture its probobly because i cannot see correctly at the moment.
this is the longest i have spent consecutivly on a drawing in a long time. most of the morning now.
not much more to say right now i guess...

thank you, i have many more of my symbolism works on the way(simiar to the past works). i just havent fineshed them enough to want to actualy post them. D8 that and i do more drawings like them in traditional medium so its harder for me to post them on account of limited scanner access. so i end up posting more of my random stuff i do on the computer >_>

Aw wow I love the lighting, and the choice of colours, just sticking to black white and green was a good idea. I also love the shading of the fur around the collar and the way you did the mist all curly

yeah they started up when my grandma and grandpa both passed, then when my great aunt and step dad did as well all in rufly the same two years... ever since then i have gotten similar feelings when around death. its kinda odd.. so i had to put it into something... and i have yet to be able to find any of the old pictures of them from those times otherwise i would have hoped to have them posted. D:

It's a nice picture.
It sounds like the problem is that you're kind of capturing the essence of what you're drawing from life. It's hard to draw an actual apple when there's not one around...

Well there are a lot of way of dealing with grief/pain. Making yourself really busy, particularly with something you like to do, is one of the better ones.

Its beautiful Fluffy, the colors and the shading. it really has depth, also i can feel the sorrow you poured into this picture.. its just sad that it took a death or a very good and angry pet to bring you spend more time on a single work or art.
