This is my great uncle, he was a B-17G belly gunner.Theres not much information on his unit, and I have come to find out that I hold some of the last photos of that unit

I'm in kind of the same position. My grandfather was in the Navy for over 20 years, but we have very little information of his service. All we have are hundreds of pictures and his medals. I'm currently working with the VA to get his service records. Hoping that will shed some light on his photography.
