This is probably the most stereotypically English thing I've ever drawn- and I love it!

Hahaha, yes! Hot tea is delicious- and I don't drink it with sugar either, hahaha. Sugar only goes in Southern-style iced tea!

Yes, I do! It's more common in the States than a lot of foreigners think, but iced tea is definitely more popular here, especially in the South- and it's really sweet there!

Yeah, hahaha, I personally hate sweet tea- rather ironic, as I'm from the southern US. It seems like hot tea is becoming more popular in the states, though.

There is nothing wrong with being stereotypically English. In fact, I encourage it!

And oh god, so many details in that tie how.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Flying-Glove In reply to KrazyKhaosKat [2012-04-12 01:43:14 +0000 UTC]

Stereotypical Englishness is fun.

So many details because the tie had about ten bajillion colors and some sort of psychedelic/floral pattern in the original picture, so I copied it as best I could, filling in with details from tacky One Piece character shirt patterns when I couldn't exactly make out the original from my tiny reference picture.

KrazyKhaosKat In reply to Flying-Glove [2012-04-12 02:30:02 +0000 UTC]

That seems like an extreme amount of effort to go through for a tie. I bow down to your commitment.

I love tea... In my experience, the way to start loving tea is to start with a type that you put a lot of milk in, and gradually put less until you don't put any in.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DeathlessLegends13 In reply to Flying-Glove [2012-03-25 01:07:47 +0000 UTC]

i might just try that, which works the best?

Flying-Glove In reply to DeathlessLegends13 [2012-03-25 01:58:40 +0000 UTC]

I think Chai would be good to start with, as it's traditionally served with milk and honey and has a rich, sweet flavor even on its own.

Oh man <3 I feel so bad that i just can't get around making that Mad Day out picture because you seem to always deliver trades *shame*

Anyway, teatime! Isn't that just cute. man does Ringo's shirt and tie make me a happy woman? Yeah, indeed. And George looks incredibly bad-ass just sipping his tea. Like, dude, do not fuck with me xD Though, I guess, that's the look George has half the time anyway.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Flying-Glove In reply to jossujb [2012-03-23 23:58:15 +0000 UTC]

Aww, I didn't mean to make you feel bad! Really, whenever you can get it done is fine.

Haha, isn't it cute? When she sent me the reference picture, I nearly squealed from how cute it was. And with Beatles having tea-time, it's really the most English picture I have ever seen.

Ringo's shirt and tie make me happy too. They were unbelievably fun to draw and color. And George's "drinking-tea-is-serious-business" face made me smile. It's such a typical George expression.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jossujb In reply to Flying-Glove [2012-03-24 01:35:30 +0000 UTC]

I try to get it done sometime... it feels like I have some sort of block going on... canΓ€t get out much stuff I like myself.

ANd those pictures having beatles with bowler-hats are also delightfully British <3

Haha, George has nearly always a face that says "I'm freaking prefessional, I'll eat you" xD Well, than, and then he smiles, and that's adorable. But it's always like either superserious or all-teeth wide smile, nothing in between. Hihi.

Flying-Glove In reply to jossujb [2012-03-24 01:51:10 +0000 UTC]

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. D:

I love the bowler-hat pictures, they're so cute.

Haha, that's true. Nothing in between unbelievably serious and huge smile.

jossujb In reply to Flying-Glove [2012-03-24 02:43:23 +0000 UTC]

Well, art is suffering and so for xD

Pretty much ever Beatle-picture is cute. And there's so much stuff where they pose with completely unrelated stuff. Like someone digged some old basement and found shoes and weird baskets and hey, lets make The Beatles pose with this stuff xD Like, what xD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Flying-Glove In reply to jossujb [2012-03-24 03:11:01 +0000 UTC]

Ha, true.

Oh yes, the ones of them with brooms and springs and birdcages and such, and I seem to recall one where Ringo has a boot on his head and George is playing a trumpet- very much WTH?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jossujb In reply to Flying-Glove [2012-03-24 05:10:13 +0000 UTC]

Often it's just cute, but then there's like pictures where you can see Beatles themselves have zero clue wtf they're doing either xD
