These were amazing creatures to have in your Heroe's army because not only were they hard to kill and inflicted mass amounts of damage their very presence caused a 20% chance of terrorizing each group in your opponent's army causing them to panic and be unable to attack at all.

35,000 dragons in each cell is a bit excessive. I still have all of the HOMM games but currently don't have a computer capable of running them on. I think my favorite thing about them was the Armageddon's Blade expansion set that gave you some extra special "super artifacts" that were made by combining the artifacts of the same genre together. If you collected all of the necro artifacts you could then have all of the creatures killed in battle added into your army as Power Liches (or Vampire Lords if you weren't on expert necro skill yet).

I love Armageddon's Blade dlc more then other parts cause it has elems town, new pack of dragons and companies with Mutare and Dragon) My favorite "extra artifact" as you say is Power of the dragon father)
