Description So, at this stage I sorta look like an alien because I don't have a head or hair or anything, and it's still pretty rough (hence the fact that it's a WIP)

But yeah, this is my second (and much more recent) self portrait.

Sorry the picture is terrible quality, and sort of pinkish, haha.

Thanks so much! Eyes are definitely my favorite feature to draw. (lips come at a close second)
Yeah, i hope so! I'm submitting this to a scholarship contest thingie if it turns out alright, so I'm hoping it will prove itself.

Thanks! I started mapping out the hair today, and now that the face has context and doesn't look like it's floating, it looks much better, and I'm actually pretty excited by how well this is coming along! Yeah, the eyes look really sad, but in the picture, I'm just blocking out the sun so i'm kind of squinting, but you can tell more now than you can in this WIP. Thank you very much!! I'm very pleased with the left eye, it had very interesting shadows from the lashes that were very fun to draw.

Wow... it's really good for a WIP. Love the detail in the lips and the reflection in the iris. We have to do a self-portrait for my exam in my drawing class. It's due next Thursday, one week. When should I start?

Haha, Well, considering I am still putting off starting all three of my projects for my art class by doing this, I can't really tell you to start asap, but I'd recommend it. What medium do you have to use?

Well we can either use graphite pencil or vine charcoal. I think I'll use the charcoal because it's quite and easy to manipulate... when I'm running out of time!

Haha, I've never actually tried using charcoal, but I hope it turns out! I'd like to see it if you want to tell me when you've finished it.

I finished it and it turned out pretty darn good, I'll send you a photo soon, once I get my portfolio back!
