Description Ohhhh my. Got inspired by another great chapter  in Casting Rain ! Like... I just love the new dynamic thrown into the story: questioning what it means to be an elemental, and how one should behave around regular monsters... Let's just hope the little Firefly doesn't distance himself from (or worse, leave) Gaster and Ammy. If he does, I'll cry. Poor confused fire baby!!!

Edit: I have now learned that chain mail goes OVER clothes... Meh, I like trying to draw chain mail against fire XD

Okay first of all: you are an outstanding human being.

I'm pretty sure I've said this at some point during random fanart features on the the fanfic, but I legitimately tear up whenever anyone makes something for this silly story of mine, and the speed at which you do yours (and the fact that you always go straight for new characters/concepts) always both shocks and amazes me. Like. Holy wow. What did I do to deserve so much passion and care and just alkasdflkjffffffffff

This one is currently my phone background :'D You draw Grillby absolutely adorably, and that's such a cool interpretation of the stone elementals! (Would also like to add that your drawing of Thistle was absolutely fantastic as well, and I'm so sorry I didn't get around to commenting on it. I am very easily the most forgetful and easily-overwhelmed person I know, and I'm sososo sorry it took me this long to get my butt over here).

Hhhhh, I forgot to respond to your comment yesterday! *flips things*

It's kind of difficult to ignore the urge to draw when an inspirational chapter is casually slapped in your face XD

Seriously though, I've seen some Wartime!UT fictions, but they all centered around a certain plot. After a while, the idea feels stale... The way you world-build in your story though is so expansive and so well-informed (seriously, you really do your research and that is amazing :0) that it's easy to lose yourself in it and become completely immersed! It feels more like a novel than a fanfiction, and that's what I love about it. You took an idea and made it completely and uniquely your own!

*had to reread last paragraph* Whaaaat, really?! I am honored O_O *proceeds to lay down and die of happiness*

Wow the design for stone elemental is not what I personally imagined, but this is so much better! I really like the magic holding his/her parts together and all plants growing on their surface is such a cool idea. And Grillby looks so damn adorable!

I also really love that we got to meet other elementals and how different they are from Grillby. Our firefly has been really lucky with Gerson and Gaster and Amathea, who treat him like fellow monster. But I can also understand why this stone elemental feel and think as he does. I mean monster around them treat them differently and when you have been made to specific purpose, no wonder you start to think you are different. And if everyone around you look you more like an object, any mental connection to them which might interfere with you job, feels more like a burden than anything else. I think some of the elementals might even been somewhat same like anxious ones with other monsters like Grillby was in beginning of the story, so if no one really cares for you, why you should care for them? Am I thinking this too much? Yeah. Yeah I am. XD

I like to think that there are no such thing as 'better' interpretations of a character. But you got me wondering, how did you visualize them? *curious FS noises* I kinda imagined the robot sentinels in the Ghibli Studio movie "Castle in the Sky", then made them more... earthy? XD

Saaaame! I just love how expansive SS makes the characters and world in the story. Everyone is so unique and relatable in their personalities, insecurities, and values. Another thing too, it gets you thinking. Makes you wonder what is right and what is wrong, how things came to be the way they are... So nah, you're not thinking too much XD Gosh, I wish I could storytell like that *^*

Hey my first thought was those ghibli machines when I saw this! I was no imagining things!
And my idea... Well did not really have one. I just thought really tall and big guy in robes and looking like marmor statue who left for a walk. XD I have no imagination at all sometimes. Your is much better as it actually looks like a monster, not some human statue. I still think those statues empty eyes would look cool. I just usually need more time to come up with actual good designs...
And the best stories are the ones that makes readers think after they have finished the story! ^-^
