Kelly the Crone’s Supermarket sweep

Kelly went shopping on a bright sunny day,
It could have been April; it might have been May,
When she appeared, the people went running,
Kelly just grinned, a vast grin of great cunning.

Huffing and puffing she entered the store,
A clerk tried to run, tripped, flat the floor,
OUCH! The trolley trundled straight on!
Now he’s a pancake, “Oop’s! Sorry hon!”

Kelly went to ‘Mandy, I’m happy to help’
Who quickly grew pale and bit back a yelp,
Kelly pointed to a pyramid of beans,
Asked to see the top can, if they had the means?

Climbing the ladder, giving nervous looks,
To Kelly, who was innocently checking the books,
Mandy reached out, the ladder went flying!
“Oh dear! My cane slipped!” Kelly said smirkin-sighing

Tiring of beans, who needs musical fruit?
Kelly went to the shoe section, for a ‘size 14 boot’.
They fetched her 17 pairs, heels, sneakers, flip-flops,
She rejected each one, with a jump and a hop.

She chucked them right back at the poor fitters,
And unleashed her pets (cute little critters!),
A hundred moths, fluttered round the store,
Mutant moths, chomping though leather and more!

She went to the bakery, butchered the bread!
At the meat counter, demanded veggies instead!
Juggled the fruit, till it got bruised and eaten,
And complained that her shopping trolley was old and beaten!

The staff cowered low in their ‘Kelly Shelter’
Waiting for ‘all clear’ from the brave manager,
Kelly left them a present, sauce all over the floor,
They fell flat on their faces walking through the store!

Kelly went home, with not a thing,
Nope, not a mushroom did Kelly bring,
But she has plenty, her food supplies fine!
See yesterday, she ordered online.
