at first i didn't want to make one... since it's so popular on DA and i usually don't like popular things XD;
i also kinda suck at pixel art XD
but the more i looked at, the more interested i became, and finally i was bored enough to make my own.

you mean an ID in this style or an ID in general?
to make a picture show up as an ID, you submit it under the DeviantART ID category when you're uploading it to the site ^.^

it's not too hard, but takes awhile to do.
for the pixel part i just drew a picture, scanned it in and traced and colored it with the Paint program that comes with almost every computer.
then i drew the top right picture and colored it like i usually color my pictures. sometimes people use colored pencils or whatever you want.
then i used the GIMP, which is a free program you can download, and made the area around my pixel picture transparent and copied and pasted the pixel and the other picture onto the bigger gray background and typed in the rest

not too hard, you just work with little square pixels instead of smooth lines.
you also can't blend or use layers in paint. it's pretty easy to correct mistakes though

Ha ha I love it! I started one, then go frustrated with the larger picture so I just chunked the idea. Im still in artits block and I havent down anything descent in ages! Though Ive been watching alot of anime that is drawn and colored really well so hopefully that will give me inspiration! TT_TT
