It depends. If it’s for presets, just add it as a separate layer when creating one. If you want to add it to the game you need to edit the files in your Textures folder. This includes the masks and also any markings that cover the nose area. You’ll probably have to mess with it a bit.

I’m not sure what you are doing wrong. The nose itself shouldn’t be a problem adding it to a preset. Have you worked on presets before? Make sure your material file is correct.

This is for preset making only. If you want it in your "textures" folder you will have to edit the canine head texture.

I edited the cheadMask 1,2, and 5. You would need to edit in Photoshop or GIMP. Just erase the old texture and replace it with the new one. Make sure you check it with the UV map so it looks right.

How and were do you put the file in ?

I just give you the texture. It's up to you to either add it to your preset texture or you can add it to your default textures for the game. You will need to use gimp or photoshop.

Is there a way that I could just replace the old file(s) with the new one? If not, how do I edit the texture files? Do I need a certain program? (Sorry for all these questions D: )

FlyWheel68 In reply to lunafastfireart [2015-08-29 00:52:44 +0000 UTC]
No, it is literally just the nose. You will need to edit your texture files. You can use photoshop or GIMP which is free.

ArsenisticSpirit14 [2015-08-17 15:36:24 +0000 UTC]
Once you download the file, where do you put it? Which file do you use if you want to use the nose as the default one in the game, and where would you put that file?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
FlyWheel68 In reply to ArsenisticSpirit14 [2015-08-17 19:25:23 +0000 UTC]
You have to edit your texture files. You would add the nose texture to the head texture, then you have to edit the nose mask to fit the new nose.

The 3d nose is transparent. Just create a new layer under the 3d nose and color it white

Doesnt work every time i go to presets it turns yellow and black what did i do wrong?

FlyWheel68 In reply to XLexieXD [2015-08-06 17:28:22 +0000 UTC]
You mean it turns yellow and black in your preset maker? You are supposed to add it to your preset texture when you are coloring it. It shouldn't be separate.

Yes you need to color it yourself. Then add it to one of your presets.

You don't want to paint on the nose texture, it's transparent. Just color under it

I am not sure why it would be black and yellow. Do you have the material file? And if so, is it correct? Please check out my preset tutorials to see if you can get help here, because I am not sure what you are doing exactly.

How do i do that tho?

FlyWheel68 In reply to SnuggleBearz [2014-06-05 03:42:21 +0000 UTC]
It's a transparent file, so all you have to do is drag and drop it onto another picture. If you don't know how to do that in what ever program you use, try looking for a tutorial.

I got the 3d nose, but when I put the hyena markings on my charcter, it still had the shape of the feline nose. how do I fix it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
FlyWheel68 In reply to AuBurneyT-Keswick [2014-04-28 13:06:32 +0000 UTC]
In the game, the markings go on top of everything. The only way to fix that is to go and edit each marking file that goes over the nose.

It's in that folder or it wouldn't be in the game, you just need to look harder.
