Description Desert Song

PS Experiments and Photomanipulation
Only PS tools, no external plug-ins.

I've been through the desert 'cos I missed my train
It felt so bad there to be out of the lane
In the desert you can't remember your name
And there ain't no one to heal your pain

After one hour in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After two hours in the desert sun
I was looking for a river bed
Made me so sad to see it was dead

Around me not much life
Just dried plants and rocks and rocks
Hills of sand waving till the horizon
Sand in my nose and right down in my socks

And that silly blue sky with no clouds
The blaze was hot and the ground was dry
And the air was full of burning heat
Felt such pain, thought I was about to fry
Felt like hell, thought I was about to die

Personal version inspired by
America, "a horse with no name" , Genre: Folk Rock

It is your first try with photomanipulation under Photoshop ? Because it looks like juste AWESOME. Like a real painting. I didn't even thought it was originally a photograph (that's why I went to check category). I really love the colours and the fact that it seems blurred, like a painting, something like a sunset. Maybe a bit of watercolour... Anyways, it reminds me very much of.. Africa hehe. But beautiful result ! And brilliant idea. I hope to see more

Thank you so much!

Some people think photomanips are not "Art". he he

So when I happen to make one, I try to be a bit creative (if I can), and add a lot of personal input.

The end result should be very different from the original source(s).

And of course it will never be a one click action, or a one click plug-in.

Generally, there will be an dreadful heap of layers, with blending modes, masks, textures,

sometimes plug-ins (used in a creative way they can be really fantastic, and they spare a lot of time in the process)

the use of many PS tools, PS brushes (painting), etc......

The sky is the limit!

Yeah... You put very much effort into making such pieces of art ! That's a good think. Thankfully I'm not of those who thinks photomanipulation is "not art". It can be ! We had, for example, a few lessons on history of photography art with our photo teacher at Fine Arts School. Some of them were very well known, famous photographers, and did a lot of photomanipulation ! People may think it's "too easy" but if you look at the bottom of the things, a lot of simple photos, drawings and all are easy, so...

Anyway knowing your work this is another piece of art of it !
