Technically, she's the equal and opposite of the Tumblrina trope. A Tumblrina, according to the stereotype, blames the world for their problems. Alphys blames herself for her world's problems. Tumblrinas expect others to walk on eggshells for them, so all humor is a no-go. Alphys actually enjoys self-deprecating humor. If you combine her with Sans, you get Daria Morgendorffer. 

Also, I came up with the best nickname for her ever and no one will ever think of a better one: "Trash Override." It's hilarious if you've seen the movie 'Hackers' (1995).
