"Sisiutl are cultural icons for Kwakwaka'wakw, Tlingit, and other pacific northwestern tribes. Their habitat ranges from Vancouver Island to the Alaskan panhandle, where they spend most of their times in the water. When they are on land, they leave a slight slime trail to keep their underbellies wet, which is toxic to humans if touched. In regards to appearance, the Sisiutl is incredibly colorful, and most notably sports false head iconography on both its tail and its middle, making it seem like it has three separate heads. Interactions with Sisiutl are varied - sometimes they will paralyze individuals in fear with their gaze, other times they will offer themselves up as aquatic transport (this is unlikely and they may just eat you, since they have large appetites and are not picky eaters.) Sisiutl blood and meat is also highly prized for its nutrients and healing properties (don't try to kill a Sisiutl, they will kill you first). Overall, the Sisiutl is a magnificent beast; a symbol of both death, property, strength, and protection for the Pacific Northwest, and a mediator of both land and sea."
