The flood are pretty damn scary IMHO.
Pretty damn creepy to think about a force that can use modern weapons/equipment, and continually reinforce itself in combat by assimilating any body it can find within seconds.
Fighting it with conventional troops is futile. Only thing you can really do is call in a sustained WMD barrage.
