Description
Despite their name, these fawns do not live forever. In fact, their lives are quite short.
I'm unsure if considering these as plants or animals. They appear animalistic, and have a calcium skeletal structure and a brain that seems capable of simple critical thinking, but at a cellular level they are similar to vegetation.🌿
They have no typical organs, such as stomach, lungs, intestines, etc. Instead they have a vessel that water comes in as they drink, that is quickly absorbed into their sponge-like organ that fills their cavity. Tubular veins cycle this water to the rest of their body. They photosynthesize, and have no need to eat.🍀
They are born from large trees, who have some sort of trigger that causes their trunks to twist and form open, releasing the creature. This doesn't negatively impact the tree.🌳
The Eternal Fawn is packed full of various seeds, that germinate immediately and sprout. The roots travel deep into the fawn, leeching off their water and life as the plants grow. The fawn quickly deteriorates and eventually lays down to it's final resting place. This process doesn't seem to cause any pain or distress to the creature.
