Description
I made this painting there are about 8 months I think. It is a period during which I loved to paint many layers one upon the other without letting them dry. I then scraped with spatulas wetting certain part. I put random colors that's why I could not do it again today. I mostly try to have fun with the colors gold and silver.Gouache, 61.5 cm x 45 cm.

rats, i know a tiny bit of french, but not enough to know what you said here! i adore pieces like this! they are so complex and powerful. it reminds me of 's work.
i haven't had much success in painting like this, but it's one of my favorite kinds of abstract, so pure. there's something about the darkness and irregularity that really appeals to you. did you do this in layers and layers? use a palette knife at all? love it!

Yes several layers of paint on one another without letting it dry. And I put the colors at random. This painting is a fluke in my opinion ... I did not know in advance what it was going to end.

I can't believe this is gouache, that hated little paint from Color Theory class! It's really cool that you've been able to find a voice in this medium. You hardly ever see it used, though I always thought that was because of how much those tiny little tubes of paint cost.

I never took real painting classes. You learn a lot to use gouache in your classes or not? I began using more acrylic, but I only used gouache for a year and people have often found it strange that I use only this kind of painting is a painting yet absolutely brilliant for many reasons.

The only class we use gouache in is color theory, and we just use it to make color swatches and gradations. Simple things like that. We all sort of hate it because of how little paint you get compared to how much the tubes cost. You can get a fairly good sized tube of oil paint for the same price as a tiny tube of gouache.

un conseil, quand tu fais quelque chose, note ce que tu fais sur un carnet...quels outils, quelle peinture et dans quel état d'esprit tu es en fesant ça...en relisant, tu seras capable de te rapeller, l'idée c'est de marquer le plus de détails possible
(quantité de peinture, d'eau, support, etc...) et si tu écoute de la musique quand tu fais ça, tu marques aussi...l'heure à laquelle tu as fait ça, quelle saison, quel temps il fesait, la température ça aussi tu marques... tu fais tout ça pendant les temps de séchage de la peinture...
ça te permettra de te rappeller, meme tres longtemps apres, du moment ou tu as travaillé...
j'ai cinq carnets remplis...et c'est rés marrant de les relire...c'est là qu'on se dit qu'on a vraiment un problème!

Wow je n'avais pas pensé prendre de notes pour autant de choses. Mais en fait c'est obligatoire avec mon sérieux manque de mémoire et concentration. Bon il faut aussi que j'arrive à passer le cap que je vis en ce moment qui est très frustrant. J'ai envie de peindre mais le peu de peinture que j'ai fait ces derniers temps ne m'a apporté aucune satisfaction et je tourne en rond. Pas la première fois que ça arrive mais jamais aussi difficile à gérer. J'aurais tendance à me dire que quand ca veut pas il ne faut pas insister mais je devrais peut être faire le contraire. Enfin bon encore une fois merci pour tes précieux renseignements.

ah...la panne d'inspiration....c'est normal, l'hiver,, le temps de chiotte,les gens qui font la gueule, c'est sur ça aide pas, moi dans ces moments là je fais des petits points ou je peind des illustrations pour enfant...
je crois que ça sert à rien d'insister, quand ça vient pas, ça vient pas. faut faire autre chose...c'est dur la vie d'artiste, les gens ne se rendent pas compte...

Merci beaucoup mais en en fait je suis un peu embêté parce que je ne me souviens pas du tout comment je suis arrivé à ce résultat. Depuis je prends des notes parce que la mémoire c'est vraiment pas mon truc.
