These little foxes are further exploration of the changes that can be made from Hideo Komatsu's own fox model.
They are each made from a single square sheet of paper, painted on both sides with acrylic paint, before the folding sequence.

Well first off, the background is fantastic. I love how the main focus is on the foxes. The coloring is great and the originality is top notch. The snow they are standing on is definitely a nice touch. The contrast between the bright red of the foxes and the white-ish grey background gives it an intriguing edge. I can't really criticize the edges of the paper where it folds because I can only imagine how tough it is to even make them in the first place. Yes, they did get wet and a bit soft by the end but, they both enjoyed their day in the snow.

It's more of an extensive customization than my own creation. They are unique to me so far though, so I can take a small bit of credit in that.

Are the mouths naturally able to open like that or is that one of your modifications?

The mouth does need a bit of fiddling around in order to be opened like this, but the original model does provide the flap needed to do it.
