HAH HAH!! This is almost as angry and belligerent as a tutorial I might post. In fact, I've been working on one on how to draw a REAL human head. Instead of the.. well, obviously anime ones for all those who think that those are good tutorials.
Seriously man, I saw this one in the favorites one day... and it was just AWFUL. Done by someone who does really good anime art, but not so good real art and tried to pretend they knew what they were doing...
Okay, I have to go start that now. o_o
In short, this is a great tutorial. And since I suck at animals, this will turn out to be immensely helpful.

To be fair, it's not TERRIBLE, but not QUITE anatomically correct, either. It just seems really overemphasized. So much so that even though it seems to apply the principles from your tutorial, they are also exaggerated just enough that it looks like a greyhound-lion rather than just a skinny underfed lion.

no...it's terrible. >.> all of it. they said it was supposed to be a cheetah to cover their asses when obviously it's a mountain lion with the face structure, but it has a cheetah body. if it were ACTUALLY cheetah, it'd be fine. its bad through and through and it's bad because it's the POPULAR way to draw animals on this site no matter what the species. if it doesn't look canidid then it's not popular. >.> at least if they don't have skill anyway.

Oh, suriously? I didn't even read the comments.
See, this website is NOT for artistic development, it's to get your ass kissed or to be an ass kisser. No one actually wants real critique around here.

You need to make it more clear that the back of the leo is block shaped compared to the felis who has differantly shaped hips. I did not feel that came through effectively. Also it would help if there was a straight on view of both cats facing up to make the square hips a tad more noticable.
Otherwise, yeah, this was nessisary. I've been working with the younger artists on this quit a bit too.

WWWWwwwooooooow.
you sure went off the deep end.
So how many crapy cat drawings did you see, to push you over that fine endge between sanity and truth?
BTW, never know about the bone structure facts, very cool.
