Description
Antonio (called Tony by Boots ((the princess ))only) was a food taster for the king. He held his position for 15 years. At first he was scared before he tested it, but after 15 years without incident it didn't bother him in the slightest.

He and boots were friends since her childhood , despite many obstacles like him being 11 years older than her, and her being royalty.

The day he died they had gotten into an argument. The king was giving Boots trouble that she was becoming an adult and didn't need "childish companions" like Antonio, and that she needed to start meeting other royalty. She needed "real" friends. She tried to break off their friendship, and he didn't take it very well. They got in an argument and Boots said some very hurtful things to him that left him bitter and angry.

The poison that killed him was a potion that was supposed to kill the king and warp his soul into a monster a few days later. Hopefully having him kill the queen and princess as well. Instead it did that that to Antonio. Days later his soul, instead of moving on, was corrupted into a large, almost liquid monster.

With his last few feelings being hurt, bitter and angry, and being in a lot of physical pain as he died, Antonio's 'ghost' is a violent and unstable monster. He ended up attacking and eating the queen and king in front of Boots. He almost ate her too, but a sliver of the real Antonio was their and he stopped himself and fled. Boots didn't recognize the monster as her friend.

Meanwhile Antonio hid in the castle dungeons, working on keeping the monster in check. He managed to force himself into a more humanoid form and keep his monsterous tendacies at bay, but he's still incredibly unstable.

He's dammed, his soul being too far damaged by the forced transformation to rest. Once this monster is slain Antonio is gone forever.
