Is this a unified Britain and Spain?
Perhaps following a timeline where Queen Mary of England and King Philip of Spain had issue?

hosmich In reply to TomBombardier [2014-12-01 13:14:11 +0000 UTC]
Probably not. If they still claim France (and maybe get it), this CoA is going deprecated. It is the reason why I abolished this arms . It even included arms of Wales that was part of England then.
Portugal is independent and not claimed by this union. Anyway, it has no problem with the name "Atlantic Kingdom".

Before seeing the heraldry in the middle my first assumption was that it represented a union between Burgundy and Britain, which would have been pretty cool.
Awesome work, in any case. There are a lot of interesting entries in this week's flag challenge, and this is one of the better ones.

England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Portugal and Spain? Very nice. I don't like the bordering of Gules on Gules and Argent on Or in fields I and III though - better exchange IV and III. As for the shape of the shield, perhaps better make it a normal shield with a normal heart-shield? That heart looks like a lady's CoA ... Otherwise nice. I like the ideas of including the Spanish cross like this.

I knew it is a bit odd as for terms of heraldic craft but this time I was focused on visual effect rather accuracy. It is flag for a contest.

I don't think Ireland would unite with any of these countries, save for Scotland and Wales. Considering it's been in slavery for a thousand years to a royal protectorate, I think they would probably smell something in the air and bow out.
I can however see them confabulating with the Scots and the Welsh as former brothers in bondage. Especially given the shared celtic heritage of the scots and the irish.
