is it me or does this have an 8 immortals feel to it. Then again whenever i see something like martial arts mystics i usually akin them to the 8 immortals

interesting coincidence. There's not too much to say about the 8 immortals. Usually there are aspects and attributes that each of the eight are known for, recognized items, personalities and such. I believe they are mainly for portraying what the Taoist lifestyle is when not all focused on tradition, alchemy and continuous studying. I suppose my favorite story of them I like is when they fool the Yellow Emperor on his birthday
