Description I'm mostly putting this up here for my own future reference since I go back to it when doing clothing design.

This is an outfit design guide for the seven countries that make up the continent of Mondigan. It details stuff like climate, color scheme. All designs are based around a central tenet of the countries' value system - represented as a simple geometric shape that gets repeated in the outfit. Countries that are more similar in mindset use more similar shapes. Each also has a signature style item unique to that culture. Unity for the entire continent, though, should be derived from similar materials. Model in this sheet is Rivek for all cases to increase sense of uniformity.

The middle image in the bottom row strikes me as the most unique! Can't wait to see what you do with these

I am gonna do some visdev for my novel project. Hopefully you'll get to see some outfits soon! I want to design this stuff up for my eventual concept art classes.

Holy cripes you really thought this all out- love love how the design of the clothes are based on geometric shapes which represent a certain value. Awesome stuff here.

I guess that's how I think - i Like relating things to themes and values. It just seems to give stuff more meaning. I just hope that whatever visual forms I equate with certain values that other people make the same equations. Otherwise, people won't get it. ;;;;

I just went on a crazy Kubrick visual study binge after watching the Shining movie, and so this visual breakdown of the clothes just tickles my fancy alot. XD

I love all the different things you've taken into consideration hereβ€”the symbolic shapes are an especially interesting idea. And, of course, I always love fantasy-world fashion. Work those above-the-knee boots, Vestanzan!Rivek!

I thought that symbolic shapes are what graphic designs all about? I don't think it's that interesting?!

And lol. The Vestanzans are lusty, sexual people - so I figured "let's go with thigh-highs". Rivek would be embarrassed if he heard you say that. Any true Vestanzan would then immediately start flirting back. ;;;

I think most people are aware of that to some degree but often forget to take simple things like basic/symbolic shapes into consideration when designing characters/clothes... myself included! Been trying to think about that a bit more lately.

I now have a mental image of Rivek getting catcalled in those boots (by men and women alike!) and attempting to rush away awkwardly, lol.

Haha, a lot of it is just me having a design already and then trying to incorporate it/justify its existence.

I am gonna genderbend my character. Just watch me. He will look fantastic in those boots.
