I procrastinated so much one this one..
This literally sat on my desktop for like 2-3 weeks 95% complete... only the water left to do. I finally got on it and finished it though!
I've always wanted to do the whole floating in water thing, and it was perfect for Sailor Mercury... I always saw Sailor Mercury as more of the freshwater element, whereas Sailor Neptune more as saltwater. So I drew Sailor Mercury floating in a freshwater pond... which couldn't be complete without lily pads, lotus flowers and cattails!
...and what kind of user of the water-element would Sailor Mercury be if her mini-computer wasn't waterproof!! lol. She's so at home in the water, both her AND her equipment.
I've sort of been making it a point to draw every sailor senshi with their trademark items/weapons/things that make them unique... Sailor Moon with her wands, Venus with her chain, Mars with Phobos and Deimos, so this is Eternal Sailor Mercury with her computer and visor.
Next is Sailor Jupiter!!!

Drawn and colored using Painttool SAI, finishing touches in Photoshop CS2, all using Wacom Intuos4 Tablet.

Do you know much about art history? Because this reminds me so much of the story of Ophelia and the many paintings that were done of her. Comparing your piece to Ophelia adds a slightly melancholy aspect to it, but it's beautiful nonetheless.

Oh..also sorry. This makes a wonderful wallpaper, if we are allowed to use it as such. However, the watermark in the middle kind of ruins the beauty of it a tad

This is so pretty! The water is drawn very nicely. For some reason I feel like she is on Mercury. Like the planet Mercury itself.
