I've got crossover fever!!!

For quite some time now I've wanted to draw Miku Hatsune, but I just can't bring myself to draw anything but Sailor Moon. My last drawing was so well received, I decided to do another like it! ...and thus begins the Sailor Moon Cosplay Series. (lol jk.)

I learned a lot more from doing this piece- mainly utilizing the Ink Pen tool in SAI. it sped up the lineart process soooo much! I also forced myself to be very conservative with the blur tool, because sometimes I like to go overboard with it, and it loses the element of cel-shading. lol

It was also really fun thinking of what a vocaloid/miku themed background might look like, and making it come into fruition. from looking around, it seemed that two main themes with Vocaloid art are pianos and sound meter bars (I can't think of what they're called), so that's what I did. oh, and those are supposed to be spotlights in the background as well... lol

I'm so used to doing generic Sailor Moon backgrounds, these last two deviations have been very refreshing. Could this be a sign?? Should I.. *ghasp* draw something other than Sailor Moon??? lol

Drawn with pencil/paper, lineart redone and colored in Paintool SAI with Wacom Tablet. Finishing touches done with Photoshop CS2 as well.
