They say if you're driving near Alton and your car disappears, the cops shouldn't bother looking for you...because you're already Piasa lunch.

He's a local legend. I live near where he's supposed to have reined his terror upon the Illini Indian tribes. (:

I must admit, I like this ones face a lot better than the one in the book; it's less troll-like.

I know this one, It's amazing. I like your rendition of him. It should be noted this is an American Indian Legend. Also was mentioned in the journals of Lewis and Clark.

I actually kind of know of it.
I live around St. Louis, on the Illnois side. The piasa bird is painted on the side of the bluffs around where I live.

Kudos on your penmanship. How long did it take you? Let's see if I can guess the tool...blue ballpoint pen right?

I'm not sure how long it took me...didn't look at the time...but I think a few hours.
Yeah, I used a simple ballpoint pen. I just grabbed the pen that was in my reach. This actually started out as a boredom sketch, but when I started to put detail in it I thought it looked ok, so I finished it.

Very nice work; I missed your pen drawings! The details are excellent, and the textures and shading are quite good, as well. The only thing that I have to say is to add line weight in the areas where the light doesn't hit as much. You have it going on in some areas, but not in others, like with the hind leg and tail. Other than that, this looks great! I think it'll be nice to see all of the different kinds of dragons that normally aren't paid attention to.
