Scarlet MJ #001! Mary Jane Watson: The Scarlet Spider!!I was a really big fan of the 2011 comic book storyline "Spider-Island". At one point in the story Mary Jane, along with pretty much everyone in manhattan got spider-powers.. At the time I was really hoping they'd let MJ keep hers for a bit longer. So this is my take on what we might have gotten if she kept her powers..
And as great as Gwen is, I've always had a crush on Mary Jane!... So I just had to see that through! So this here, is my Mock cover for issue #1!!! Hope you dig it!

Wow, this is awesome. I should ask: is it canon? There is a universe where MJ is bitten by the spider and is Spider Woman in this costume? Oh, it's just another fan art, expressing an incredible and magnificent idea in question of the costume? Note: I am very amazed, excellent work.

I love this idea, and I always wanted Mary Jane to become some sort of crimefighter that teams up with Spider-Man for my take on the Marvel universe. Great artwork too.
P.S. I know where the idea came from, but how would you explain your take on the origin of Scarlet MJ? How did she become Scarlet Spider?

I urge you to (if its what you wanted to do of cause) apply for a job a marvel or something friend, there needs to be more clean, awesome designs like this. There is tons of fanart of your fancostume already! I can picture funko pops and cosplays, plushies and all sorts of this amazing design.

You know sometimes Marvel does a small preview story that introduced a new character. They can go 6-8 pages featuring them in a mini adventure. Marvel Comics Presents had several of those stories when they wanted to showcase new art or writing talent. Maybe you could do an adventure showing what type of character Scarlet MJ could be instead of a picture of MJ in a Spider-Woman costume. What she can do and all that.

Heh, I'd love it to be real. Working on another cover now, but yeah.. I'm cosplay friendly. Just a link back to my page for the design ( and so I can see it when you're done.) is all I require. Maybe if enough people see the cosplay of the character it might make it real. Heh.
