Description I don't need to explain to you what this car is, you've probably seen it before whether it be on the streets, in movies like Fast & Furious or the like. I got a full set of Faber-Castell Polychromos as well as a Caran d'Ache Luminance white (so I'm broke) and I decided that I'd test them out on something that I'm used to drawing i.e. cars. I've also finally gotten a new scanner. Although I'm pretty happy with this (being my first full coloured pencil drawing), it could use some work, mainly being on the centre cap of the rims, the front wheel and that mess that is the rear windshield wipers.
I started this before my exams began and waited until today to upload it, since I wanted a good quality picture.

Anyway, it took around 30 hours to finish and now that it is my summer break, I'll work on my (many) unfinished drawings.
Constructive criticism is welcome.

Rear rim is very nearly perfect (center hub is slightly off by like a couple of millimeters upwards, but it's pretty much perfect). I actually think the center cap looks really darn good.
Shading is phenomenal. Overall it's a little lighter than I would draw this color but that doesn't make it wrong. The glare is great, the reflection on the back bumper is great, the windows are clearly glass, the panels are clearly distinct, 10/10 would drool over again. The rear bumper overall is really well done, especially the lower fascia. The perspective is really good except for a few things, mostly those which you noticed: the front wheel and the windshield wiper (I suck at drawing those too though honestly, they're so hard to get right...) Also, I think the front fender is a bit too tall - the skyline has a lower hoodline iirc. The exhaust pipe isn't exactly the shape I'd expect it to be (it's stretched vertically so it looks ovular rather than round) and the number plate needs sharper lettering and isn't exactly rectangular (that sounds like a nitpick but it makes a huge difference). The rear wing also seems a little bit too small on the part closest to the viewer, like it's not quite obeying perspective right, it should either be smaller on the left, or bigger on the right, I think. The rear badge is also a little bit off-center, that being centered (by moving it a little to the left) would help. The rear tire also looks a little flat, the thickness on top is greater than the thickness on the bottom.

I know it sounds like I just ripped into this but I seriously think this is EXTREMELY good. from a coloring perspective you've pretty much achieved very close to mastery, perhaps a little more dynamic range (so some more dark blues in there) but it just depends on the look you want to go for. Anyway you should be very proud of this, seriously - this blows my first colored pencil car drawing out of the water. Clearly your understanding of color is quite solid, and that's a great base to go off of for future works!

Thanks a lot for the critique! The exhaust pipe was actually pretty accurate (apart from it being a little too long), I think it may be aftermarket since I've seen Skyline exhausts before. I knew right from the start that the front was too tall, but I couldn't get it to a place that wouldn't affect the rest of my drawing. I've just noticed the rear wing's proportions, since you've brought it up and it could use some work (that's what I get for not refining the line work from the start). I should really start off with the darkest values (I began from the front backwards, which really affected the overall colouring) so that I can see the shades more accurately.

(Now to go off topic)
Oh yeah, my next drawing involves Miku and an Evo X, just in case you're curious.
I thought that my wallet had it bad when I bought Polychromos, but you've bought Copics. Ah well, quality has its price.

Wow Looks Great for your first colored drawing its definitely impressive.
The rear reflections look really good i like how you took the time to draw in the little cars in the background, i probably would have been lazy and not done that. I wouldn't worry to much on portions right now for the coloring sake. in my opinion i think you needed to darken your blue more to make it pop out more for example. the rear bumper and bumper kit looks the best that very dark deep blue makes it come out. but i feel like there might be some darker blue area on the side of the car. really small dark areas make it come out. i know its hard with color pencils takes forever. you got the white perfect it looks clean and very shiny makes it looks very real from far away and i can see how smooth the reflections are, that's hard for me to do sometimes. i use prisma color pencils very expensive but there bold. im not sure if that makes a difference. I think this looks awesome definitely one of your best especially for just the first time doing it, i cant wait to see future works

I was actually going to spend another day working on this to edit it and make certain parts look better, but I haven't really felt like working on it for the past few days, although I may edit it in the future. To be completely honest, I kinda rushed the rear of the car because I really wanted to start my summer project (it's big, I'll say that much). Anyway, I think I could have done some more blending to make certain parts look better and added some more layers. Polychromos are crazily expensive (I bought a 120 set because of my pencil addiction) and are even more expensive than Prismas. They make better darker values than Prismas since they're oil based (although wax based pencils like Prismas have better lighter values but don't last as long, hence me buying a white Luminance pencil as it isn't as prone to breakage as Prismas but they're insanely expensive (around $5 for one)... Anyway, pencil discussion over, thanks for the critique!

Hey I like it! The paint is very well done. But I can't say it about circle objects like back lights and wheels. You should work on that. Maybe before you decide to draw circle draw the box/rectangle first and than draw the circle inside. The back wheel is nice maybe tire on the bottom should be more ticker. Front wheel is not that good as the other wheel, Im sure you know that. I would also draw the windows with black pencil.

looking forward on next works

The front wheel was something that I thought needed to be improved from the start. It seems that over 2 years of doing this and I still can't make a decent oval/circle. The rear lights were kinda rushed because I wanted to finish the drawing and I was considering using a graphite pencil for this but I decided that I would do the whole thing in coloured pencil. To be honest, this was more of a practice piece than anything else so I didn't spend as long as I wanted (even though it took me around 3 months)! Thanks a lot for the critique!
