Many years ago, during my Summer hollidays I decided I wanted to photograph the female foot and to publish my photos on the web.

Nothing significant was being done in Portugal on the foot fetish scene and I felt I had to honour the master Elmer Batters.

These are the very first photos I ever did with a model I didn't know.

Her name is Sara, she was 19 years old and was by the water, catching a shellfish we call "Conquilha" (simillar to a small clam), a delicacy.

I nervously approached her, explained I was a photographer of the female foot and asked if I could take a few photos of her feet.

She said yes and allowed me to make my "shoot".

It was a thrilling experience but I was so nervous that I only took 8 photos and one of them didn't turn out alright.

These are the 7 original photos and they have a special meaning for me.
