I find this card actually useful ^^. I have it in my black commander deck which has lots of lifegain and also some "whenever another creature dies"-effects ... so the wall easily gets +1/+1 counters and sacrificing it does not only damage an opponent but may also trigger some other useful effects. But yes, it's one of these cards you have to put in the right deck to make it useful.
Btw, the artwork is amazing. The dead limbs are super creepy.

That's good to hear. Β I've gone to a couple GPs and everybody there told me the card is terrible, which is why i assumed it didn't have much value.

Well, I don't play at GPs (I'm just a casual Magic player ^^) ... perhaps it is rather useless in this format. But it is pretty decent in my commander-deck

I put this into my black white life gain deck, but i haven't experimented with it to much. It doesn't matter though, the art is practically an ambitious and amazing FEET by itself. Β

This is so awesome. And disgusting. But still awesome.
I really like, that this wall looks like a wave, like it could move right in your direction. Like it wanted to grab and eat you (even if it does not have a single mouth...).
Maybe I am interpreting too much, but that's how I feel when I ook at this piece.
