Oh hey there! Thanks a lot for all the nice things you have posted. And also for the favs and the watch.
Actually, this is not a "brand" of coffee at all. In NYC, where I live, this is the design on most of the coffee cups that they use at local delis. They are made with Greek symbols because the first delis in the city were owned by Greeks. And they all say "We are happy to serve you."

What a charming style you have! I love the whimsical feel to all of your pieces, and especially your choice of media. ( I have an abiding love for colored pencil and watercolor, and hope to develop the same combination of medium you use some day)

Aws. Thanks so much! You know, i actually started mixing water color and color pencil bc i did not feel i was a very good water color artist. So i decided to fudge things a little by adding the pencil. It hid the flaws. The water colors add dazzle and a luminance that other mediums dont give you. But adding color pencils on top very lightly can add a punch to it. So just keep practicing!!!!

Anyhows, this particular coffee queen is Melissa. We have been friends for a long time and i really wanted to include her in my coffee series. I took the photo reference about 6 years ago, and the pose really said a lot about the dreaminess of her personality. She is a cute and flakey and has a nice sense of humor. So i wanted to do a piece with her as more regal than the other figures that i use in my work. I wanted her to be not so much pursued by the cartoons, but more like she and them have a commonality.

The part I like best is the "sugar and milk" Miss America banner thing she has. The cat tucked under her arm makes me grin too though.

The fact that you combine cartoonish and realistic style and make them fit together in perfect harmony amazes me. That you are even able to do both sides of the art spectrum is amazing in itself, but to combine them? You are too good.

Cute yet disturbing at the same time (especialy the green..pararie dog/monkey/squirl/rat)
what media is this in? It's really beautiful, especialy her face. Very realistic, I like the expression, but my favorate part is the ribbon connected to the coffe cup. It adds a lot to it. Makes it seem really regal you could say, I suppose. (Oh and wonderful use of purple, the regal color)
