after spending a while, looking at it, i can see the overall idea.
good that u left the pillar in, cuz when u see it from the different perspektive, it simply MUST be there.

the thing i like the most are .. (i think) the holes in the line - top of the pic.
and the stairs bellow with the middle glass + reflection .. - its perfect.
good composition, interesting, totaly not boring (many elements), nice colors,
what else does that pic need?

I love this shot, Oli. Good use of lines, all of the colors/tones work great together, and the reflection is very lovely. Put this one in your gallery ASAP!

I find it hard to find anything negative about this shot, the typical hospital like green colours, the awesome reflection of that bridge, the great composition of objects... christ Foon, this is amazing.

Great photo. Very clean and there's tons to look at.

I was about to suggest cropping out the pillar on the left, but looking at it, it seems to be very much a part of the overall composition.

To me, it seems as though the windows are more the focal point of the image. You may want to consider cropping out a bit of the stairs for that.

Just my 0.02

Thank you for taking the time to comment so usefully.

It's funny you should mention about the pillar. Upon asking a few friends what they thought of the image while it was going through the final stages of production, the topic of the pillar did come up. I tried cropping it: both with different levels of it showing and removing it altogether. Quite honestly, after trying for about 10 minutes to find the perfect compromise, it was agreed on by all (including myself) that the pillar looked best left in, and justified itself with a different type of texture...which is one of the main themes of the work, texture.

Thanks for your words on the stairs. I wanted to keep as much detail of the stairs as was possible, but can see there is so much there (and it does take up a lot of space), that not much would be lost from losing some image in that area. Unfortunately, this was my only photo of the day which I didn't take repeat shots of, so I had to go on whta was in the camera at the end of the day. I'll try visiting London again to see if I can improve the shot, but until then, i'll look into what you've so thoughtfully suggested and see if I can build on it
