OK. Slade HAD to have been a smoker based on his rough life so this is just a simple what if scenario of his downtime.What do you think Slade is thinking about?

All the stupid mistakes he made due to being selfish. Heh heh heh. Though Slade is not the type to smoke. He drinks but he never overdid anything due to trauma from his childhood past by his dad. Or so I wanna say. *trying not to act snotty in this quote*

are you saying he experienced childhood trauma from his dad? I tried to wiki as much info as i could before coming to this conclusion. all i knew was he joined the army (eagerly it seemed) at age 16 from what i researched. I thought it would be a radical pic anyways just showing him doing so.

New Titans 1992 #83, Jericho mentions Slade's father understanding why Slade is the way he is.
Deathstroke #35, Slade carefully avoids starting a conversation about his father.
Plus New 52 Deathstroke #8 that shows what Slade's father did to him which was sell him for 10K to a man named Rossi to get out of debt.
In the New 52 version, Slade was human trafficked and that can cause a lot of psychological problems for him. Though due to the constant change of writers, everything is more focused on what Slade does instead of who he is leaving a lot of questions and inconsistency to his past.
The new 52 Deathstroke is very bland compared to the Deathstroke in his single series where it focused more on his emotional character while also showing his bad ass character. Slade was two different men on and off the job. Now he's...simple. That's just my opinion though.

I pay a lot of attention to Slade's character. I'm bored of New 52 Slade. I've been wanting a story where Slade has a clone version of himself as an innocent child who knows everything that happened to him in the past before the army but the clone doesn't know he is one. He'll becomes Slade's robin to his batman and Slade has a third chance to be a father and its more fortunate because it's his child self so he can see a mirror version of himself change. I also want Grant included in it. Sorry for blabbing all this to you. I get carried away when it's Slade.

I havent read any of the comics excpet TTG that was based off the CN show. I wikied alot about his sons and duaghter. That story of the clone would be cool tho if it came to be.
