Appearance:
Richie is of rather average build and average height, albeit slightly on the taller side for his age. He's about as much muscle as one would expect an active 16-year-old boy to have, which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't that much. Despite his fresh apparel and surprisingly well-kept blue hair, he's often covered in dirt, bruises, and scratches. His face, often contorted into a scowl, sports red irises, an upturned nose, sharp teeth, and a small beauty mark underneath his right eye. Other than that, there's nothing all that remarkable about Richie. In truth, it's his voice scratchy little pubescent voice, often at an uncomfortable volume shouting profanities at you, that catches your attention first.

Richie is...well...a teenage boy. He's loud, obnoxious, belligerent, and doesn't seem to grasp the concept of "higher authority". In short, Richie's an asshole. Richie doesn't like people or being around people or even being near people. He doesn't like a lot of things, actually. He does like starting arguments, however. And getting into fights. And hitting people. And talking back. Yeah he's really not all that pleasant to be around. And although he often distances himself from others, preferring to grumble in the corner by himself over attempting to socialize, he's not afraid to butt in with his own opinion if he finds himself disagreeing with you, regardless of whether or not he knows you.

With such an unabashedly argumentative nature as his, one would expect Richie to be rather full of himself. In fact, this is not the case at all, nor does he try and make it seem like it is (honest to a fault). Richie is rather self-aware, especially for someone of his age. He knows he's young, he knows he's hard to get along with, and he knows he's not the greatest person–he just doesn't really care.

Yet despite his rough personality and asshole-y nature, Richie has a strong sense of justice and does not tolerate lies especially. He's honest to a fault and expects everyone else to do the same, getting very upset when that is inevitably not the case. Because of this, he does tend to gravitate more towards the better samaritans as opposed to fellow delinquents. His strong sense of justice leads him to be surprisingly capable of softer and kinder emotions, generally around those who seem more sensitive. His general rule of thumb is that he won't go out of his way to be a dickface to you unless you're a dick to him, in which case the dino happily lets out his fury.

History:
Richie wasn't always some street rat kid getting into trouble and trash equally as frequently. His parents, ex-trainer mons, gifted their son a dittech as soon as they had a stable life comfortable in their own pokehuman formes. Richie's father had a very good job and the family led a good life. Unfortunately, said life didn't remain. Richie's father was having an affair with another woman and eventually abandoned the family to pursue his relationship with the other woman. Because the family's dynamic relied on Richie's father's income, the family was thrust into poverty following his abandonment.

As would be expected, things dramatically changed for Richie after that. Richie's mother was often away from the house, working extra hard just to garner enough money to keep herself and her son alive. However, the situation eventually got to her as well, and she started working less and leaving the house not because she had late hours, but because she wanted to escape from her dismal reality, wasting what little money they had on drinks and futile attempts at escape. Richie was often away too, roaming the streets thanks to a distinct lack of parent supervision, often getting himself into trouble. And as time went on, the time Richie spent away from the house grew into longer and longer intervals until Richie found a second home for himself sleeping on the streets.

But the dino was not doomed to die on the streets alone and virtually abandoned. One evening when he was rustling through some of his favourite trashcans–the trashcans of the Santalune Bakery–in hopes of finding a decent meal, he was approached by the owner of the bakery. The man took pity on the pathetic street rat and one thing led to another and the boy suddenly found himself as an adopted child of the baker and his wife. Suffice to say, things were a little weird at first. Richie's manners were virtually nonexistent and his school attendance even worse, not to mention his terrible attitude. While he's assimilated a little, there's no doubt he's got a long way to go. It's a work in progress.
