We're having a mega freeze here right now and I couldn't resist taking some pictures.This is NOT a manip. I just darkened the shot and enhanced the colour a tad. I thought it looked more enchanting that way.
I thought it looked a bit like a heart, hence the title.
The plant is Physalis alkekengi (Chinese Lantern) and adds a pleasant dash of colour to this freezing winter.

This was completely unique. I've never seen it go like this, ever (that I can recall). Not with all the teeny icicles on everything. Yes, very unusual but it did go particularly cold. Not used to it being that cold either.

Yes, I had never seen anything like it because we don't usually get it quite this cold. But there were teeny little icicles on every branch, and the trees were white with frost. It was magical but bloody cold!
