I am so pleased with how this pic came out because it was taken from inside the kitchen, through the glass of the window! I wasn't even outside! So yeah, quite a fluke. An even bigger fluke was having the Robin beside the feeder because they rarely feed from the feeders.

Yes, they don't seem to feel the cold. One of our resident blackbirds was having a bath earlier and the weather is soooo cold at the moment. Barmy!

His regular food must have been covered up! I like your robins better than ours. Ours are are big, stupid things that always have worms hanging out of their mouths. It's only because they have red fronts as well that they got named after your little guys. I'll know it's Spring when I see my first robin, though. I suspect they are in wormier climes right about now (we just got our first big snow and freeze as well). The blue tarp, while not ideal, actually counterpoints his colours. Nice shot!

Yeah, I've seen illustrations of them, but never an an actual photograph. I always thought it was just an artist's interpretation/style. Pretty cool though
