Description
Stain trotted, black fur gleaming white in the moonlight, across an open field, her pack trying to keep up with her.
"Stain can we please rest? We've been running all day! And night!" Ash complained, Death and the others panting to hard to ask themselves. Stain looked back at the five wolves. "Fine but we leave by noon tomorrow!" she concluded.
Ash nodded her thanks as the others plopped down into the grass and tried to catch their breath, Ash joining them.
Stain looked at the moon, which was coincidentally a full moon. She didn't know why but for some reason… She couldn't shake the feeling that she would never be able to fall asleep… At least not comfortably…
She was right. Her dreams that night were tormented and controlled by horrible nightmares.
"Where am i?!" Stain demanded. The long dark corridor, dimly lit by torches, provided no answers. Stain growled, awaiting something to jump at her but nothing came…
She padded reluctantly into the looming shadow, hackles still raised and lip still curled. She found nothing.
Suddenly, the torches blew out, nothing was to be seen. She could hear nothing, she could feel nothing. She was only falling unconsciously into oblivion.
Before she could comprehend the nothingness, a hard, gooey, liquid-like substance engulfed her, practically shattering her back when she hit. The substance then turned softer, but thicker... and stickier… and warmer.
Stain opened her eyes and around her the sun was in the far distance casting a red sky. She was just floating with no destination in an ocean… of blood.
She almost howled in fear before bodies began floating- no! swimming- to her. When they were close enough she recognized the mangled hacked-to-pieces bodies of the wolf she killed and all the lab workers and guards.
Stain howled in fright and woke up, sweaty and terrified. Death and the others were sound asleep and hadn't stirred. Good…. Stain thought to herself before straightening herself up and just sitting watch the rest of the night.
