Backstory: He was born to a barn cat mother and a wandering tom. His mother hid him and his three siblings in the woodshed, but they were found while their mother was out hunting. Seeing them as more unneeded mouths to feed, the farm lady put them in a sack and threw them in the river. His tiny sister and one of his brothers drowned before someone fishing spotted them and fished them out. The man took Zhivago and his brother home with him, where he fed them, naming them Zhivago and Boris. Once they were older, he let them outside, thinking they would do alright. His dog attacked them, catching Zhivago by his tail. Zhivago managed to escape but lost the end of his tail. He and his brother then decided it was time to leave.
