Description
Since Battlefield V is upon us now, I felt it would be appropriate to say goodbye to Battlefield 1 with, of course, a crossover featuring Tails and Cosmo. Been working on this for too long so I finally decided to just get it done. I'm happy with it though!
On the blackened battlefields of World War I, two survivors emerge from the trenches to find themselves in a desolate wasteland. Weeks of artillery shelling uproots anything resembling grass, overturning soil, splintering trees, burying soldiers. The craters are still. Mustard gas condenses in the water puddles. The sounds of bloody conflict echo away into history. With any luck, such destruction will never come to be again...

Nah, it's just a generic bolt-action with a side mounted scope and bayonet. I didn't have a reference so it's purely fictional.

It is beautiful to see this finally sprout. You definitely feel the turmoil rampaging in the twoβs hearts... Cosmo seeing a tree burnt to a crisp from the hellish flames of chaotic war is a great touch. Considering that this sort of sorrow is one of the ones that naws at her the most... and Tails, who had tasted what this all feels like, already, will push himself to do better so that his loved one wonβt have to see any more of this terror for the rest of her life.

For real, though, this is really beautiful in a desolate destruction sort of way. You did a real good job on it!

21 years. That's all it takes. Whoever said tyranny takes time to manifest was a fool. It amazes me that not even a generation passed and already the world was embroiled in conflict all over again... History is so sobering.
