About your painting "Red Riding Hood".
Exiting scenary, but almost to perfect girlportrait. Could be to close to a photo, people might think it's made in a computer and not by hand. But overall a very good job. The whole painting gives us a very strange, mistery and odd feeling....that's good.
You have made a good composition. The idea of putting the front figure, the girl, down in the corner looking like she's moving out of the scene, makes it more exiting. We don't know what she is looking at, or where she's going and that makes us curious and gives us the creep. Our fantasy grows and we start to make questions. The red hood in this grayish forrest glows terrific. The peace of the tree-trunk in the opposite corner looks like a dark dangerous axe pointing at her head - ready to attack. You really could feel that something is going to.....happen...soon....very soooon!!!
This is not only a portrait. It's a speaking picture and it lives...it tells you something...it tells a story, maybe not written yet, but it could easily be.
This painting is an ILLUSTRATION to a story. GREAT JOB!

Could you create pictures of the stages of your work by the way it's amazing work do you use an acrylic under painting?

Thank you.
I will consider your suggestion.

Hi I was just wondering wether you could either provide photographs of you painting process for your portraits for example a photograph of each layer, or a detailed description would be really useful for me at the moment I am struggling a little bit in getting the skin tones 100% right and how to work in layers thanks a lot

I agree. Your art could have the plainest frames because your art stands on its own!

I must say, i think your painting technique is SO beautiful, that your canvas dont need this type of decorated frames... (The frames take my eyes of your paintings... >.<)

I love the almost surreal background and its contrast to little Miss Hood. I feel like she's just heard something and is unsure of what's going on. Could it be the wolf??

I don't think I have ever seen this old faery tale[one of MY favourites![]...so convincingly done...the red is absolutely lush, and I find her ambiguous expression intriguing....

lovely piece, technically great too! i love the red and the almost deserted place with dead old looking trees. the lady's expression with the red cloth is very interesting.. she looks suspicious to me in how she looks to the other side as though she herself is the wolve. i like art like this that gives room for people to interpret )
